The Leif Tent is a 5-person family emergency shelter built from polyethylene (PE) material — a low-environmental-impact design developed in response to the humanitarian sector's push to reduce the carbon footprint of emergency relief items. PE has a substantially lower embodied carbon than the polycotton blends used in conventional family tents, and the material is lighter, reducing transport emissions per unit across large-scale procurement programmes.

The LEIF (Low Environmental Impact Family) designation is not a marketing claim — it reflects a documented design and manufacturing approach aligned with ICRC/IFRC eco-design principles and GRS-certified material programmes. For procurement teams with sustainability mandates, the Leif Tent provides compliant shelter without compromising on field performance.
